Grant Updates (Feb. 20 - March 3, 2023)




Online Art Competition to be open for entries from January 30th,2023 to February 26th, 2023. Contemporary Art Gallery Online encourages entries from all 2D and 3D Black artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field or where they may reside.

This is an international competition and everyone, who meets the eligibility, is encouraged to participate. An exhibition of all entrants will be held online from March 1st, 2023, to March 28th, 2023. Artists should submit their best representational and non-representational art.

This competition will be judged on Painting & Drawing, Photography/Digital Art and Mixed Media/3-Dimensional art. Prizes include Memberships to Contemporary Art Gallery Online, Extensive Marketing, Digital Winner’s Certificates, Event Collateral, and a Zoom interview for “In the Artist Studio Episodes” extended to selected winners.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces an art call for the gallery’s 13th Annual “Cityscapes” Online Juried Art Competition. The gallery invites all 2D and 3D artists (including photography and digital arts) from around the world to make online submissions for possible inclusion in the Gallery’s March 2022 online group art exhibition. The “Cityscapes” theme is the artist’s interpretation and depiction of cityscape art. Cityscape subjects include cities, towns, urban scenes and any related metropolitan subjects.

The gallery invites artists, regardless of where they reside, to apply to this competition by submitting their best representational or abstract art and photography.

48 in 48 - Women's Build Event


48in48 creates events across the globe where professional volunteers build new websites for 48 nonprofits in 48 hours. They provide professionally built marketing websites where you keep your domain name (www.yournonprofit.org) but get an entirely new WordPress website. Free website build ($25,000 value).

Achieve More Grant


WA MBDA has allocated $200,000 to provide direct business resiliency grants that help minority and/or woman-owned businesses “achieve more.” Recipients of the Achieve More Grant (AMG) can use the funds for infrastructure improvements, employee training, and business equipment. Amount - $5,000

Helps Colorado-based advanced industries technology businesses who want to export or are currently exporting. This grant is for small- and medium-sized businesses. Up to $15,000.

SlowArt Productions announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, May 18 - June 10, 2023 at Limner Gallery in Hudson, NY. This thematic exhibition is based on art inspired by nature and biology. Eligible are all art forms relating to, or gaining inspiration from nature and biology. Including but not limited to: landscape, fruits, vegetables, flowers, fauna, biological science and human figuration in the context of nature and biology. All media acceptable.

Asian Women Giving Circle Grants


The Asian Women Giving Circle distributes funding to Asian American women-owned businesses in New York City. This also includes artists in theater, dancing, and film. Recipients of these grants have contributed to progressive social and political change through documentaries, choreography, visual arts, street festivals, and workshops. Amount $8,000.

The City of Beverly Hills warmly welcomes fine artists to apply to the Beverly Hills Art Show. The Beverly Hills Art Show attracts an estimated 40,000 patrons during the third weekends of May and October. This outdoor exhibit takes place on the grassy terrain of the historic Beverly Gardens Park along Santa Monica Boulevard. This show has grown to become one of the largest and most respected outdoor shows on the west coast, attracting not only the finest artists of Los Angeles, but globally as well. In addition to original art, this two-day show offers an outdoor dining area, a wine & beer garden with live music, artist demonstrations, and an artists’ reception.

Boost Your Business Technology Grant


Boost Your Business Technology grant offers support to Canadian-owned small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) who want to adopt new digital technologies. Up to $15,000.

The Circ Artist Grant is open to emerging, mid-career, and professional artists in an international open call. The Circ Artist Grant provides unrestricted funding to artists with a demonstrated commitment to their artistic work. Two artists per grant cycle are awarded $850 each to enhance and further their creative practice.

Commercial Space Rehabilitation Grant


Offers matching funding of 50 per cent to commercial business operators and owners of storefronts that are vacant (or, in certain limited circumstances, at risk of becoming vacant) to undertake interior improvements, assisting businesses to re-lease space impacted by COVID-19. Must be located in Toronto. Up to $24,000

Downtown Vancouver Storefront Security Grant


Businesses in the Downtown Vancouver catchment are eligible to apply for this funding. Downtown Van will match up to 50% of the cost (max $5,000) incurred to repair and restore damages from criminal activity.

Dream Pitch Program


The Dream Pitch Program is an 8-week cohort-based training program for microbusinesses in Ward 7 and 8, culminating into the Dream Pitch Competition. The Dream Pitch Competition is an opportunity for participants to pitch their business to a panel of judges, showcasing the knowledge gained through the program resulting in a pitch award between $2000 to $7500.

Emerging Young Entrepreneurs


The Emerging Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) program is a year-long program uniquely designed to provide the next generation of minority entrepreneur participants ages 19-35 with support to enhance their growing business. Impact Grants


Impact Grants are available to businesses in Walla Walla, Columbia, and Garfield counties. The DWWF Impact Grant supports BIPOC entrepreneurs, women-owned small businesses, and businesses located in underserved, low-income, and rural parts of the state. These are technical assistance grants, meaning applicants receive space, assistance, and support but not cash.

Main Street Innovation Fund - Toronto


The fund encourages innovation and allows for unique projects to be piloted in various neighborhoods throughout the city of Toronto. Up to $100,000

www.medmic.com announces a call for entries. The winner will receive a $100 Amazon gift card, have their artwork displayed for 1 year, and have a chance to have a written Q and A published on www.medmic.com or a live video interview. The 1st and 2nd runners up will have their work displayed for 6 months. The contest will be judged by Dr. Lucie Mitchell MD (founder of Phoenix Noir Designs). All forms of visual art with a medical theme will be considered. Acceptable forms of visual art include (painting, photography, mixed media, ceramic, tile, digital designs and other mediums). Submissions from both healthcare workers and non-medical professionals will be considered.

Merchants Fund Stabilization Grant (Philadelphia)


The grant is a one-time infusion of capital to help the business stabilize/recover from a specific deficit/challenge (e.g. replace a failing HVAC system, repair an outdated production space, etc.) or grow/take advantage of an opportunity to increase revenue or decrease expenses (e.g. purchase a piece of equipment that will improve productivity, improve the interior of the store, expand to wholesale/e-commerce, etc.). Business must be in Philadelphia.

Project Entrepreneur, a program by UBS, aims to level the playing field for female founders by providing access to the resources, training, and networks they need to build and grow their companies. The Obama-Chesky for Public Service - The Voyager Scholarship


Up to $50,000 in financial aid: Students will receive up to $25,000 per year in “last dollar” financial aid for their junior and senior years of college.


Summer Voyage: Students will receive a $10,000 stipend and Airbnb credit to pursue a summer work-travel experience between their junior and senior year of college.


Fall Summit: Each fall, students will be invited to a summit to help define and inspire their public service journey.


Network of leaders: Throughout the program, students will be invited to an ongoing speaker series, giving them access to a network of leaders. This network of leaders will expose them to new areas of service and innovations happening in their fields. After graduation, they will join the Obama Foundation’s global community, providing them with Foundation resources and programming.


10-year travel stipend: After graduation, Airbnb will provide the students with a $2,000 Airbnb travel credit every year for 10 years, totaling $20,000. This will allow students to continue to broaden their horizons and forge new connections throughout their public service careers.

The Tidal Shift Award aims to leverage the power of socially-aware artworks, awarding and platforming teenagers and young adults who are focused on solutions for climate change. Currently accepting submissions of artworks that relate to the climate crisis through theme, subject matter, solutions, and more. Artists between the ages 14-22 are eligible to apply. Young artists of any ethnic or racial identity, gender identity, sexual orientation and ability are encouraged to apply.

Art Show International Gallery announces a call to artists for an online art exhibition. Up to $2,000 in cash prizes.
